John Roy is a fast rising national comedian with a unique perspective. He was the champion on Star Search on CBS in 2003, and has appeared on Last Comic Standing, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Premium Blend, and Comics Unleashed. He was appeared nationwide on the Bob and Tom show on the radio and will be on the Tonight Show in 2007.
1246 W. Arthur is his first CD, with jokes about John's life growing up in Chicago, and includes his best-known routines from TV as well as tons of all-new material. It was recorded live at Zanies in Chicago in 2006.

An Interesting Perspective of Everyday Life

John Roy is not your typical comedian. He's intelligent, but keeps it simple. He doesn't overanalyze his jokes (like Dane Cook). But he's not crude humor, either (like Andrew "Dice" Clay) I first discovered him during his "Tonight Show" appearance, and I couldn't get enough of him. I actually had the pleasure of meeting him in Peoria, IL and he was incredibly down to earth and very nice. That's when I decided to order this CD. And when it came in, I could not stop laughing while listening to this CD. I cannot wait until he comes to Springfield or Bloomington in April. I'll check out both shows, even if the material is the same. It's still funny!

A "must own" for true fans of comedy!!!

I absolutely love this guy!!! I have followed his career since his appearances on Star Search (he, of course, won), and he only keeps getting better. I'm not surprised he didn't go further in "Last Comic Standing," because, really, those comedians are "fart joke" comedians, while John is a thinking man's comic and in a different league. This guy is a STAR, and his cd truly is a "must own" for true fans of comedy. He's a legend in the making and will be around for years to come!! Buy this CD!!!!!!!

John Roy - hilarious!

I saw John Roy on "Comics Unleashed" and couldn't stop laughing. I bought the CD and was even funnier than he was on the show. I will definitely keep an eye out for when John comes to the Boston area!
