The initial kernel of this piece was created on the same weekend as Dark Descent, my composition that was used in the season 4 finale of the TV show, The Mentalist. I've continued composing in this style (I call it Neo-Spaghetti-Surf) realizing several other pieces in the interim but this one has been there in waiting till the time was right. It's been a long gestation but now it has come alive and evolved into a piece of music that tells a story.
