Album Notes

The Saga:
It all started with Bob. Bob says your guitar playing's cool, but I can't use the solo thing. Not that making Bob happy is my life's work, but I think about it and I call Billy and he says he can get heavy with it and I should call Joey. I call Joey, Don and Pete and we all play a gig but then Don says something about seeing a man about a horse, and Pete embarks on a pilgrimage in search of his long lost family, but Jeff walks in one day full of energy and desire and a broken down conga, and we’re all real happy about that, except the conga thing, so he goes out and gets some new stuff but we still need a bass player, so I call Randy and he says no, and it’ll never work and I’ll only make myself unhappy even attempting it and don’t even bother calling the other Pete ‘cause he’s in another band and he wouldn’t have time. So I immediately call the other Pete and he has an hour here and a couple of minutes there, so I stick him in between Billy and Joey and all of a sudden there’s smiles goin’ every which way. Well all this time I’ve been writing new tunes and teaming up with my one and only on the lyrics and we’re thinking hey, we need someone who can sing better than me if anybody’s gonna listen for more than one song, so I call Ramon and he says he always wanted to do something like this
. . . one night a week. But it’s more than one night a week now and we finally have this CD and a gig now and then and we’re all really pretty happy about that
. . . even Bob.
