John Swaney : Jericho Town

This CD could be described as a 'concept' album, but not in the sense that there is a real 'story' from song to song. There is a loose association with some characters, but primarily the songs point toward life in a small town, rural areas, and cornfields

Album Notes

John Swaney is a singer-songwriter from southern Indiana who has been kicking around there and making music most his life. He is a multi-instrumentalist, mostly out of necessity, and plays everthing on his albums as well as doing all of the vocals (except in a few rare cases).
In 2008 John released two albums, a collection of some of his best songs, entitled Shadows of Angels, and the album Jericho Town. This year John will release Manjo Bandolin, a bluegrass-tinged album meant to sound like a bunch of guys playing music on the front porch; or back porch.
Here you'll find songs from all of John's albums. More sound clips are available on the main website, jdswaney.com.
John is also a survivor of brain cancer, and you can read more about that at his website as well.
