This song," The Long Goodbye", is about my family’s experience with Alzheimer’s. My dad was diagnosed in 2005 and passed away on Sept 26th 2010. I wrote the song looking through my mother’s eyes and tried to put her thoughts and experiences into words. She took care of him up until the day he passed, never wanting to put him into a nursing home. Anyone who has gone through this experience can certainly relate to this song."
