Album Notes

John Winn's love songs chart the journey of looking for love, nurturing the love we find, and the joys of spending time and sometimes, if we are lucky, spending a lifetime with the one we love. In "Why Do I Feel the Way That I Do" John sings of discovering love, while "Widows Walk" speaks of the grief of losing someone we love. "Sweet Colleen" is a love song that speaks to the peaks and valleys of love, and how love can regenerate throughout a relationship and suddenly blossom again after a rough stretch, just as a garden does each spring. "Trust" speaks to an essential ingredient in every relationship, and how fragile trust can be once broken. "Snow on the Mountaintop" is for older lovers, who find that even when there is 'snow on the mountaintop' there may still be a fire burning in the furnace down below. "Old Bud" tells the tale of a man who played his cards in love so badly, he now regrettably is 'playing solitaire.' John Winn's beautiful tenor voice and original music blend together in this wonderful CD that explores all facets of love and relationships.
