Album Notes

JoJoe, a Jamaican-born vocalist/rapper/entertainer, now based in Montreal is one of the dominant forces on the reggae music scene. He has shared the stage with reggae artists such as Burning Spear, Sugar Minott, Richie Stevens, The Mighty Diamonds, Freddie McGregor, Beres Hammond, Culture, Marcia Griffiths and more.
His debut CD, self-titled “JoJoe”, has received great reviews. He is also included on a compilation with African reggae star Alpha Blondy and has collaborated with Trinidadian top musician and pannist Martin Albino as well as pop stars Josh from India on the song “Rock My World” from their recent album. His new single “Give Thanks” soon to be released in Canada has very conscious overtones and was recorded with alumni from McGill University’s a cappella group Effusion.
JoJoe is a constant performer and is accompanied by his 4-5 piece band (Crowded Bus).
