ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
JojoIII – Rebuilt man who is a walking testimony of grace & mercy. It should've been me...But God! Let Me Re-Introduce Myself...

Joseph “Jojo” Gardner III was born in Philadelphia, PA. He is the oldest son of six children -three boys and three girls; and, is a graduate of Winston Salem State University with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Music theory. He has also completed coursework towards a Masters in Communications. Along with his undergraduate degree, Jojo also holds an AA from the Art Institute of the Atlanta where he majored in Music Entertainment Management with a minor in Videography. Jojo also served in the United States Army for several years with an honorable discharge as 2nd Lieutenant.

Born again at the age of 28, he grew up and served in local churches throughout North Carolina. He has served as Minister of Music for New Life Christian Center (Bishop Joseph Gardner, Jr.), Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Bishop George Brooks) and New Millennium Christian Center (Pastor Wayne Robinson, Jr.).

He is a highly sought after writer, musician, producer and artist who has traveled extensively for over a decade, conducting praise and worship seminars, music workshops and musicals. His voice has been heard on award winning-Gospel television shows such as Dorinda Clark-Cole and Bobby Jones Gospel Show. His concerts are characterized by a radical move of the spirit of God, resulting in people dedicating their lives to Christ.

With a singing style that is charismatic, bold, fresh, dynamic and confrontational, Jojo is able to convey complex truths in a way that is engaging and easily understood by all ages. He is recognized by his peers as a yielded vessel used of God. He has headlined and worked with Timothy Wright, John P. Kee, Smokie Norful, Donald Lawrence, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Usher, Jermaine Dupri, Xscape, TLC, Comedian Eli, Comedian Earthquake, Dennis White and a host of others.

Currently, Jojo is the CEO of IIIRecords, 2Deep2Understand Productions, JojoIIIEntertainment (www.2deep2understand.com) and his very own radio show; The JojoIIIShow (www.blogtalkradio.com/jojogardneriii). In addition to completing his solo project, he is currently working on and producing The Jones/Scotton Project, Kia Gardner, Jha'Mai, Shaun Johnson, Jason Gardner, Darryl Barr, and The Lamb of God Mime Team. As if running his own business isn’t enough, Jojo also plays 3 characters in the hit stage play "Surrender".

Many people have been touched by this servant of the Lord. With brokenness, praise and worship, this servant presses through, ushering people into the presence of God.

When asked to explain movement music, Jojo explains that movement music is holistic in its approach. It’s a healthy medium between both gospel and secular music designed to encourage a real relationship (devoid of cussing and intimate intonations) with Christ (without the overly-zealous religious thrusts).

Jojo has a very unique perspective about what it is he does –in a nutshell, he’s not willing to compromise the message of salvation, but he’s also not willing to allow tradition to keep him from reaching the masses that are out there by shunning the secular world.

Instead of solely reaching out to the Christian radio, his desire is to infiltrate the secular radio stations with music that has solid Christian values. He recognizes that music is a very powerful tool that influences the lives of our children; and his mission is to change the face of secular music by demonstrating to the major record labels that you don’t have to sell vulgarity in order to be successful in the industry.
