Jolene
I Live For Him

Her warm, versatile soprano has gladly backed up the likes of popular music heavyweights Mariah Carey and Marc Anthony, entertaining thousands at some of New York's most well-known venues, including Madison Square Garden and the City Center. Even so, whenever its time for Jolene and her voice to take center stage, her mission and her ministry become as crystal clear to an audience as her ringing high C. Hence the title of Jolene's debut contemporary Christian release on compact disc, which makes the powerful and personal declaration, I Live for Him.

I Live for Him - produced by Lester Goodwine and Robert Meeks on the Boston-based Listen for Pleasure (LFP) recording label - features 13 original tracks. From the easy, mid-tempo pop rhythm of the title track written by Jolene (recorded in English and Spanish), to the funky urban grooves "Sunday Mornin'" and "He is Nigh", to the jazz fusion-laced "A Place Called Grace", Jolene takes listeners on multifaceted and spirit-filled journey. It's the first solo CD of which Jolene hopes will be a succession of feature projects through which she can make her mark upon the hearts of music fans.

A veteran, professional vocalist, Jolene, has worked with a number of Christian and Gospel music greats, having recorded with Reverend Timothy Wright, the National AME Zion Convention Choir, and Wayne E.N. Ireland-Cleghorne; and having sung onstage backing up Vanessa Bell Armstrong, LaShun Pace and Karen Clark-Sheard. Her talent has afforded her the honor of singing the National Anthem for baseball fans at Shea Stadium. It also has taken her well outside of New York and the U.S. borders to Japan, Cuba and Canada. Jolene (full name Jolene McClean), her husband, and daughter live in Queens.
