OMNI is bold and beautiful, yet pleasantly peaceful, with soft, yet powerful, melodic rhythms.
Steve Jolliffe's solo career as an Independent has enabled him to explore many different musical directions including traditional electronic, ambient/trance and classical. In between performing, composing and painting, Jolliffe manages to release one Independent album nearly every year.
Jolliffe and Rick Davies played together in the 60's in a band called the Joint, which later evolved into Supertramp. During the 70's Jolliffe was a member of the blues/rock band Steamhammer and was one of the early members of the renowned synth electronic group Tangerine Dream. Jolliffe has also composed for film and television. The music from his 1999 recording 'Deep Down Far' has been used in advertisements on the Discovery Channel in England and Steve's ambient/trance CD 'Zanzi' was chosen by the national syndicated radio program 'Musical Starstreams' as one of its Top Ten Albums of 1996. Many of Jolliffe's compositions can be found on musical library recordings.

"Omni is great!"
author: Richard Fuller, Senior Editor
“Omni represents an uncovering of new worlds and new art…. and the best ambient/trance music I’ve heard. My guess is that the only musician/producer which can progress beyond Omni is Steve Jolliffe.… on some future album. Mr. Jolliffe personifies creativity and is the only one on the horizon who can better such an effort.
If you are seeking electronic music that is bold and beautiful.… look no further. Omni is great!”
