Album Notes

Jonathan Field returns to his recording artist roots with his first complete solo effort. An intensely personal album that digs far deeper than the carefree satire of his previous collaborative work, "Drift" draws on years of well-earned depression and blends it with catchy rhythms and melodies that ultimately make you smile. The dramatic stylistic changes from one track to the next will keep even the most demanding listener intrigued, yet each song is grounded in solid pop sensibility.

A tight ten tracks in just over 42 minutes, the album is a throwback to the days when albums mattered. Though each track can stand on its own, the album functions as a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Fans have identified shades of numerous influences across the diversity of songs, including The Beatles, The Smashing Pumpkins, Ben Folds, The Who, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, and Keane.
