Cannot stop listening to it!
I did not even know this album existed until I stumbled across a recording of 'Ruin My Day' on YouTube. I have loved Aimee Mann, Jellyfish, The Grays, the soundtrack from Magnolia, etc, for years. So finding a solo album of Jon Brion's was a treat. I wish the more 'mainstream' music industry would embrace and run with this man. But on the other hand, I like having a special treat to play at parties that no one knows. :-) I whole-heartedly agree with the other reviewer who compares Mr.Brion with George Martin. This is a joy to listen to and I highly recommend it. No bad tracks on this one.

I first heard of Jon Brion when I went to one of his performances at Largo in Los Angeles. Ever since then, I searched high and low for his cd, and when I finally found it on here, I was so elated. Now, this is mainly the only thing I listen to. It is a really enjoyable CD. There is no debate that this guy is very talented. If you don't own it already, BUY IT!!!

I saw Jon first at Club Largo in LA playing with Aimee Mann. What an awesome musician. His playing on the chamberlain sounds like the best symphony orchestra you can think of. I have several "tribute" CDs that Jon plays on and his tracks are always the best ones. This CD is my first full length of Jon's that I ever bought and it did not disappoint. His knack for melodies and his production and ear for a good sound are only rivaled by Brian Wilson and George Martin.
