"Jon Christopher finds and defines himself through his music. The moment he hits the stage, his armor drops to the floor and with all of his naked vulnerability he reaches out and cradles his listeners."
-Abra Moore, Arista Recording Artist

"Jon’s presence on stage is powerful, his song writing is fresh and unique and his voice is full of passion. He will be a force to be reckoned with."
-Chuck Negron, Three Dog Night

"Jon’s music comes from the heart. His voice is uniquely passionate and his song writing stays with you."
-Frank Pacella, Producer of CNN’s World Beat

"Jon is an extraordinary young talent"
-Brian Koppelman, Former VP of EMI Records, Executive Producer of Tracy Chapman's debut album

Meet Jon Christopher, a tour-de-force of raw emotion, visceral lyrics and vibrant melodies. Taking inspiration from artists as diverse as Seal, Cat Stevens, Portishead and D’Angelo, Jon has created a jazzy blend of R&B, blues and rock. His second album, “Only Human,” melts boundaries and transcends genre.

Recorded and mixed in Queens NY with co-producer Chris Liberti, every track of "Only Human" bears witness to Jon’s talent as a singer, songwriter and musician—from the chilling vocal delivery of "I Cry For You" to the striped down poetry of "Man & Women You & Me" to the head-bopping grooves of "Good Man Bad." With musical contributions from artists such as Manola Badrena (Rolling Stones, John Scoffield), Mark Ambrosino (Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston) and Dave Eggar (Pearl Jam, Josh Groban), "Only Human" has all the ingredients of a great record—most importantly, a passion that will be apparent to listeners from the moment they press play.

From the time he picked up his first guitar at age 16, Jon has surrendered himself to music. He has spent the majority of his adult life between Austin, Texas and New York City, playing at venues such as La Zona Rosa, the Knitting Factory and the Bitter End, and performing on media outlets like the Austin Music Network, Fox Morning News, and KLBG. For the past year, however, Jon has turned his attention inward to his song writing and the completion of his second album.

Whether drawing on experiences truly lived or imagined, with “Only Human” Jon captures an honesty and reality that feels, well, only human.

The must have CD for your collection

The vocals, the composition and the passion all blend so seamlessly to create this wonderful CD Jon sings with unguarded feelings. The moment you hear his voice, you can sense the open and raw emotion of every note. From the playful sounds of “Good To Be In Love” to the jazz sounds of “Man, Woman, You and Me” Jon really understands human emotion and seeks to evoke that every time. I definitely recommend this CD. I love it! Also worth mentioning is his earlier stuff. Check out ‘Everything’s All Right’ from the CD ‘Heavy’ that song is funky & sexy!

only human is an excellent album with stellar song crafting (kudos to Jon here)...very emotive...definitely draws the listener out of the 'drudge' of so-called 'new music'. Solid production, great musicianship, and 'rememberable' tunes make this CD worth its price of admission.
