Album Notes

Since performing at a wide variety of events when they entered the Bluegrass music scene in 1998, being selected as "Mississippi Touring Artists" by the Mississippi Arts Commission in 2000, and presently singing at many different venues, Jamie, Carol, and James Jones have established themselves as up-and-coming entertainers. The three blend three-part vocals together to maximize and redefine close "family" harmony and combine a delicate blend of traditional and contemporary bluegrass style enhanced with their own original seasoning. The result is a musical recipe that is rapidly making a name for itself.

The father and daughter trio enjoy switching parts and alternating between lead and harmony vocals. Growing up in a country Primitive Baptist church near their home, Jamie, Carol, and James began harmonizing at an early age. The family's first project is entitled "Sweetheart of Mine." This is also the title cut on the project and was written by James. The family along with their band, known as Jones and Blue Rail Express have entertained at venues that include the Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville, The Gibson Bluegrass Showcase in Nashville, and The Station Inn.
