Album Notes

In late fall 2005 a rogue ad in the Stranger led to the meeting of Ian Jones, Scott Martin and Jason Gover, and ultimately to the beginning of “The Jones Family Fortune”

Having returned home to Seattle after some time in southern California, Ian Jones (FM1960, The Orange King) set out to put together a new band. After playing with a few old friends but not finding the right mix, Ian turned to The Stranger classifieds. On a total whim, drummer Scott Martin (The Dusty 45’s, Big Wheel club, The Deflowers) answered the add, bringing his good friend and bassist Jason Gover (Thermadore, Big wheel club, and Bulldog Front) and the three started working in a local basement studio.

After a few weeks, some recording, and their first show as a three piece, Ian, Scott and Jason realized that they were in desperate need of a lead guitar player. After months of auditions they finally found one in Derek Pulvino (Sweet tea, Jayd, Stella Rossa).

Finally agreeing on the name “The Jones Family Fortune” they started playing shows and continued on with the recording of their first album.
The band has been getting rave reviews on their live performances, and recently released their first album “Someone to Love” available now in local Seattle area stores and online. For more info on the band please visit www.thejonesfamilyfortune.com or www.myspace.com/jonesfamilyfortune
