Album Notes

After being voted as Swiss Top Artist of the Month on national Radio DRS3 and appearing as concert opener for soul lady, Erykah Badu - it is of no surprise that in 2006, JONES trumped high with his debut album "For the love of ...", which was claimed as one of the newcomer albums in Switzerland that year. His latest album "Stay for a while", released in April 2008, proves to be a promising and excellent continuation of his talent, successfully allowing his lightness and love of music to translate into soft, warm and soulful rhythms. Notable guest features grace the album and include Hip Hop mogul, Diddy's discovery, Cheri Dennis, as guest singer on the track "How Could I". The first radio single, "Stay For a While" has already gained rotation on key radio stations.

EXCELLENT!!!

Jones' CD, "Stay For A While" happens to be one of the best CDs made in 2008, indie or major!! This young has the pulse of what real soul is, moreso than some so-called authenic contemporary soul men. The tracks, "Stay For a While", with its Curtis Mayfield influenced guitar, "Everything", which takes me back to the way the bands of '70s and '80s used to hit it: raw funk power, and "Maybe", which is nothing more than jazzy-soul-doo-wop!! I love it!!
