Album Notes

Jonka is a love story. The grandson of a blind subway musician. A Kindergarten teacher from Brooklyn. They found love and they found a voice. Jonka grew up in the 1980's at a time when music and production eminated a larger than life sound. This permeates the music. Together they've created a marriage of pop, synthesizers, dance and rock. Smartly crafted, irresistibly catchy.

The debut album from Jonka, "Slow and Steady Wins the Race".

Jonka is amazing. The whole album tells a story. It's at times upbeat, emotional, melodic, harmonious, pop, rock, funk, synth... everything that great music should be and more. There's a song (or 5) in there for everyone. Love it!!
