Album Notes

MIV is a collection of instrumental beats produced exclusively from vinyl to the MPC. The album consists of secret messages and special surprises that are affiliated to the late J Dilla, who this album is dedicated to. The album is also the eighth volume of beats in the discography of Jon Laine. The first was also a J Dilla inspired album, Apple Jons.

There are 37 tracks on MIV to celebrate how old J Dilla would be if he were alive in 2011.

Some of the samples used are either "re-chopped" or "replayed" the way Dilla did (to best of Jon Laine's ability).
