FREE TO BE... JONNIE AKRABAT
Very few artists have evolved over the course of their career and still maintained a certain likeability amongst his listening artists. Anthony Sullivan, Jr. aka Jonnie Akrabat, a native of Oakland, CA, began his music career under the moniker AMX in the early nineties. He and his producer created a bound for commercial success project that was fun, bouncy and at times, hardcore though easy to digest by his fanbase. After an unfortunate accident took place and claimed the life of AMX's producer, manager and partner, the artist who would be known as Jonnie Akrabat faded into obscurity, wanting never to touch the microphone ever again.

Many years later, after growing and self-healing, Anthony would indeed pick up the microphone again. This time, however, he chose to ease back into the industry with no name and no identity. Thus he changed his name to John D.O.E. (Disciple of Emmanuel) and started hooking up with producers like Currensy , Ghostly Samurai and GeeO Supreme. Anthony didn't want to draw negative attention to himself, nor alienate his target audience, so he came forth unmasked and took on a new identity... JONNIE AKRABAT.

Now on the cusp of releasing his already critically acclaimed LP worldwide, the world can comfortably witness the charm, the charisma and the talent of a prolific artist beaming with star quality. Finally, Jonnie Akrabat is "Free to Be"...
