ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jon has been singing in the Twin Cities area (Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota) for quite some time, playing folk/roots music and rock & roll, and concentrating on cover songs. His first album earned him City Pages "Acoustic Performer of the Year" award, and he's shared the bill with artists like Charlie Louvin, Ralph Stanley, Jimmy LaFave, Fred Eaglesmith, Tom Russell and more.

"Last Star", his sophomore effort, is a mainly full-band electric project, still rooted in folk and Americana, but featuring a first-time collection of all-original material. It's held down by the rhythm section of Noah Levy and James Buckley, and highlights the all-star guitar lineup of Paul Cebar, Erik Koskinen, Benson Ramsey (The Pines) and Steve Kaul (The Brass Kings). It also features special-guest turns by Dan "Daddy Squeeze" Newton, and Molly Maher.
