Josefus was a pioneer of heavy music in the late 60s and early 70s. They released an independent album in 1970 that is still selling today. Their Dead Man LP has been reissued by several U.S. and European labels,

When the band came back together in 1989 to record another album, Leesa Harrington-Squyres played drums with them for the first time. She remained the only Josefus drummer during their periodic reunions all the way through 2004.

The first nine tracks on this CD are original Josefus songs from the Son of Dead Man LP. The first four bonus tracks are live recordings from a Halloween concert in 2004. The final two are the original band recorded at a show in 1970.
