Though I was born and raised in a small town in rural Georgia I think i have always been a "city boy" at heart. I moved to Los Angeles many years ago and pursued a songwriting career. I wrote for anyone who would listen and tried to tailor my songs for all kinds of artists...pop, rock, disco...you name it! When I finally quit trying to write and sell "hits" and just wrote songs for my own pleasure and satisfaction I found the songs were a little bit country. Also, over the years, country music had become a lot more pop/rock/mainstream. Many artists who were clearly NOT country originally had begun to have their songs played on country radio stations....the Eagles, for instance. And Dolly Parton blazed the trail for cross-over country/top40 hits. So country, pop, rock music and I met somewhere in the middle. The songs on my album are the result. Mostly I just like to sing and tell stories. So however you might choose to classify my songs, I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy creating and singing them. Thanks so much for listening.
Sincerely,
Joseph
P.S. I know $20 is on the high end of CDBaby pricing but it's less than 50 cents a minute and you should get hours of listening enjoyment from the record. I hope you'll take 41 minutes out of your busy day, mix the cocktail of your choice, put on your headphones, turn it up as loud as you can take it, and listen to it from beginning to end. More than once. I'm told it grows on you the more you listen! :) And stay tuned for the You-tube video "Trouble With Paradise". Thanks for your attention and especially for your support. JES

Good Stuff.

Enjoyed this CD. Track 1 and 2 really reaches out and grabs you in. Then the title track "Born Country" sells you to listen to the rest. The last "Gospel Track" is pure gold. Straight from the South. Love it!!!!
Good job Joseph Suber.

Suber obviously was born into the great Southern story-telling tradition with tales of star-crossed lovers and lost loves with a few happy endings for balance. With an impressive range of vocals, his tracks evoke the best of soft country, nostalgia, an upbeat kick-up-your-heels interlude, and a touch of gospel as well. You’ll find the music lingers in your mind throughout the day. I loved it!
