This Is Me… The Journal Entries

by Joseph Loewen

This Is Me is about real stories articulated in an Gospel/R&B shell. Thought provoking questions grab the listener while catchy hooks and choruses have the head bobbing and sticking around for awhile. Live instrumentation and complex vocals finish it off.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
We are all given gifts, sometimes we don't know why. We go through struggles and wonder again, why. Yet the real question We should ask is where is God taking us? What does He desire? What happens when things don't go our way? We find out that this is right where God wants us. Looking towards Him. This Is Me...

Joseph Loewen has a unique sound and writing style that reaches people from all different backgrounds in part, because of the diverse exposure to various genres early on in his life. Born to a father of German descent and a mother of Hispanic descent, Joseph was raised in a household that represented multiple languages and music styles. His music reflects not only his Hispanic makeup but also a refreshing dose of Gospel and R&B. He grabs the listener in with a stories of real life; the struggle, the pain, the tears and the beauty of finding meaning and relevance through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. These narratives ask questions, just as in life we ask questions along the way. Will i make it through? Who am I? Why can't i let this go and move on? More importantly, the songs end with the fact that in Christ, we have ability to indeed rise from our broken world and live another day, victorious.
