This is a fun, varied album that runs the gamut from rock to funk to ballad. Many of the songs have been described as "secret rockers," surprising the listener by exploding into full-on rock about halfway through the track.

Album Notes

Josh Dupont has been making music in Madison, WI, and around the Midwest for over six years. A transplant from Mississippi, Josh brings a lot of Southern rock styling and a little New Orleans flair to his music. This, along with his classical training, creates a unique and at the same time familiar sound that is enjoyed by all walks and ages.
Josh grew up along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where he was exposed to the music from neighboring New Orleans and began learning the piano. He discovered his voice while attending Millsaps College (Jackson, MS) and received a bachelor's degree in music. Following the almighty dollar, Josh led and/or performed in several choirs (both sacred & secular) in Mississippi, Texas, and Wisconsin and directed the music in many local theater projects (TX & WI). It was during his time in Texas that Josh began seriously writing music.
Josh really honed his performance chops for the past five years as co-founder of and performer with the nationally-acclaimed PianoFondue dueling pianos, where the drive was to always aim for the bigger and better show. Not forgetting his coffee shop roots, however, Josh still relishes the opportunity to play for an intimate crowd.
