He is a rare talent in both his ability to craft a song with a certain timeless quality to it, and then, man, his voice, well, I mean, damn, the kid can sing as good as anyone out there; a bright future – that one.” Jr Marvin of Bob Marley & The Wailers

“Josh is one of those guys who comes along and fills his music with such an inspiration and with such energy that it translates so easily and positively to anyone hearing it. He is a rare talent in both his ability to craft a song with a certain timeless quality to it, and then, man, his voice, well, I mean, damn, the kid can sing as good as anyone out there; a bright future – that one.”

Josh Heinrichs has a hauntingly beautiful voice
author: DJ Chris Brown - Forest FM (Southwest UK)
I am a fairly recent discoverer of the music of the now defunct Jah Roots band that Josh Heinrichs used to front until their untimely demise. I stumbled across
Jah Roots in the world of cyber space and was immediately taken with the band, ordering their CDs on the spot. Josh has a hauntingly beautiful voice and turn of phrase and this is what made his earlier recordings stand out so clear for me. This man has passion and a gentle greatness which is explored in his new EP "Things Change" in a way that latches onto your soul as he shares his love of people and the world through simple and uncluttered tracks of beauty and inspiration. I am particularly struck by the re-working of "Joy" one of my favorite tracks from Jah Roots days which is simply presented and with a prodigious use of echo and I think one of Mark Pirro's Copperhones. The whole EP is clearly a work of love and I for one will be playing it with some regularity on my radio show!
