Album Notes

Songwriter, performer, producer, pianist, and holistic music teacher Joshua Pearl is the author of the forthcoming book, The Whole Musician's Guide: How To Identify, Develop, Manifest, and Sustain Your Most Authentic Musical Expression.

He has been teaching music for over 20 years and has mentored over three hundred students.

He leads workshops and retreats through The Whole Muscian Workshop and develops songwriters, instrumentalists, and performing artists through Let It Out Productions.

A graduate of The Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Joshua was the founder and artistic director of Crosscurrents, a multi-cultural concert series which ran for four years in Kyoto, Japan.

In addition, Joshua was Music Coordinator for the Global Forum of Spiritual and Parliamentary Leaders where he received a certificate from Mikhail Gorbachev for helping launch the International Green Cross.

On Broadway, Joshua worked in the revivals of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” and “The Sound of Music.”

Joshua has collaborated with a diverse group of well known musicians and theater luminaries, including Levon Helm (The Band), Kate Pierson (The B-52s), Peter Schikele (PDQ Bach), Tony-Award Winner Lillias White, actress June Havoc, director Arthur Storch.

Joshua has performed at Lincoln Center, in New York City’s Town Hall, and on the public radio show “A Prairie Home Companion.”

As a composer, he wrote and recorded the score for the Off Broadway play “Portraits” at the Union Square Theater.

He currently resides in Woodstock, NY with his wife and three children.
