JOSIE AIELLO ‘S BACK ON THE SCENE WITH THE NEW ALBUM, WHERE I AM

CHICAGO, June 1, 2007 ― Josie Aiello, one of the most sought after musical artists, is back on the scene with her soulful vocals, signature arrangements, undeniable lyrics and infectious melodies on her new CD, Where I Am, the
highly-anticipated follow-up to her debut, Unkunvenshunal Girl released in 2001 on Quincy Jones’ Qwest / Warner Bros. label.

The radio-friendly lead single, “Even If” highlights Josie’s 14-track journey through pop, R&B and world music influences to signify her all-new sound. She teamed up once again with Grammy® award-winning songwriter/producer, Ashley Ingram (Des’ree) to pen the title track, “Where I Am.” She also collaborated with writer/producer, James Harrah (Madonna, Elton John) on “Venom,” her most intoxicating ballad to date.

Slavic Livins and Gene Katsuro, writer/producers from the group, Hit$quad appear on the CD, and Chris Robinson (a.k.a. C Major) takes Josie to church with music, lyrics and production on the smooth opening track, “My Prayer.” The album
also features Chicago sensations LaDee Flipside; the retro soul vocals of
Devin Thompson; the rapper J. Stokes; and the soaring voices of Pastor
Chris Harris and 14-year-old rising star, Chrystal Harris.

A Musical Oydessy of Heart And Soul
author: Doc Schneider

Where I Am is a musical oydessy of heart and soul that begins with a longing prayer and ends with a whispered challenge to answer the call. And so she has. Josie Aiello empties her pockets and shows us a dazzling array of styles, from the incredibly infectious Puerto Rican Boy to Myself, which sounds like it has been a hit for a thousand years. Overall, the songs have brave little centers that say let's go, we're gonna make it. You can hear the musical talent in every note, and right under it and all around it, you can hear Aiello's heart shining through, telling the truth, until you cannot help but pat out the rythym as she sings. She tells you Where I Am, and even as she bares her soul, you just can't keep your feet from dancing, and your body from swaying like a background singer -- these are songs that make you feel them.
