Josie Bailey is a professional storyteller whose spirited, animated performances have captivated audiences all across the Southeast. A native of Georgia, Josie graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in social welfare. She began storytelling as a volunteer project in her son's school, and soon her love of reading and passion for preserving the oral traditions of the past blossomed into a full-time career. Josie has been called a phenomenal and creative entertainer, and has been commissioned to perform by the APEX Museum, Kennesaw State University, the Department of Family and Children's Services, Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta, the Carter Center and a host of other organizations. She is also a frequent and well-received guest at schools, community programs and storytelling festivals.

Listening to Josie is just like watching her, and adults AND children fall in lo

WOW, the CD is SO WELL done! It appeals to all ages. Josie knows how to make every syllable clear and the stories on the CD are VERY exciting and real. Our grandson listened to it with us and requested hearing it a second time immediately.... he is 10 years old, and we are 70 years old, and we all 3 loved every minute of it both times, and it won't be the last!!! I am ordering them for other family and friends! We liked having her picture on the front and the illustrations and music were so fitting and just wonderful also!

The CD is great entertainment and educational.

My six year old son fell in love with this CD the first time he listened to it. It is a life saver for long road trips. He has already memorized it verbatim and told the entire family and his classmates about it. A definite must have for all parents with children under ten years old.
