J.O.T. aka GRANDE GATO wanted to put out an album that took music genres to another level & still delivered that heat for The Street(La Calle)!!!! Because of his performances in MIAMI, FLORIDA(UMOJA FESTIVAL for LUKE RECORDS; I/O LOUNGE) & his background as both a radio & mobile disc jockey, J.O.T. aka GRANDE GATO created a fusion of music like "snap reggaeton" as on track #6 (titled REGGAETON). The fusion of rap's snap music & latin music's reggaton is truly groundbreaking. In addition to the fusion of snap music & reggeaton is the fusion of Spanish rap lyrics over a bass knocking rap snap music beat in track #3 (titled CRISTO). When both songs were performed " live" in front of 1000 plus people at the 2011 LJVM colesium event in NORTH CAROLINA the crowds went loco!!!! Other music highlights include the fusion of his music partner MS. CRYSTAL aka BONITA SENORITA's "soul-full" r & b lyrics in ENGLISH over a futuristic mainstream reggaton beat, track #8 (titled AROMATIC), & also the remix fusion of those same lyrics from AROMATIC sung "opera style" over a bass driven..slow creeping..hard hitting hip hop beat courtesy of J.O.T. aka GRANDE GATO. For all of the traditional rap/hip hop & r & b listeners the CD ALBUM still includes songs like track #2 (titled BURNING UP) which is an r & b radio club banger by MS. CRYSTAL aka BONITA SENORITA and track #4 (titled TONGUE LASHING) in which J.O.T. aka GRANDE GATO spits lyrics like a true hip hop mc over a knocking bass heavy rap beat!!!! This CD ALBUM "VERDAD"("TRUE") is destined to be a certified classic in the genres of rap/hip hop; reggeaton; r & b; etc to say the least....thus living up to it's title!!!!
