Album Notes

It is enlightening to read so many of the CD Baby webpages that tell you in words how amazing, compelling, and moving the artist's recording is when all you have to do is click on a soundfile to actually hear a sample and decide for yourself. So that is what we propose to you now. If you are into real jazz, try "Round About Midnight", "Love for Sale", or the swinging "I Love Being Here With You". For "smoother" jazz, try the haunting "It's a Lazy Afternoon". Beatles fan? You've never heard "Ticket to Ride" like this. "Folks Who Live on the Hill" is a sweet ballad with acoustic guitar and 'cello. We even sneaked in an original in the pop idiom, "The Secret of a Wish".

Want to know more about Joyce? Visit www.joycelyons.net for a bio of sorts, information about upcoming gigs (wait 'til you see and hear Joyce in person!), and some comments from critics and radio DJs.

Produced by Grammy Award voter Doug Shear, with Music Direction and arrangements by Tony Bennett's stellar musical director Lee Musiker and engineered by the legendary Jim Czak of Nola Studios, NYC; "Sooner or Later" is that rarity, an independent CD with major label production values and personnel. We hope you will experience it in its entirety and share it with your friends.

What an amazing voice! What a thrill to hear such range and such quality in a Jazz Singer. If you get a chance to see her in concert she is one that is better in person! Just came from seeing her in Falls Village at Music Mountain and I hope she performs again soon in this area.

There are few musical compilations which communicate an artist's passion and talent for song. This CD does both! The music is flawless and it leaves you feeling so warm inside. You can listen alone or add in a mix with many other greats. First class all the way!

Joyce, I don't know if you remember me, but we went to G-burg together and I was also in choir with you. I remember how beautiful your voice was then, and must say...it still is and then some!!
