notes
I'm not sure what genre to call my music, I suppose adult contemporary will do.You may notice influences from jazz, rock, pop and classical.
The songs on Joy at Last and are written form a new thought point of view. They are stories about my changing views on the road to spiritual recovery. You will also hear references to 9/11. Who could be alive during this time and not have that event affect thier art?
They hopefully reflect some of my musical journey, which has been wildly varied, from classical training in college, to singing in rock and jazz groups. As a teenager I started singing in Rock Groups. when It came time to make a carreer desision as a young adult a consellor convinced me to follow opera I think he thought pop music and the whole culture too shallow. Man I am here to say follow your heart! Opera and the Classical world have much to offer but that does not mean that pop forms are less than. I hope my classical training gives the music that pours out more depth ,but I want to be true to my passion. After many years in the opera I decided to listen to my inner voice and express the pop music in my soul. I hope also that my songs reflect some of my spiritual and life journey which has also been full of contrasts. In my 2nd cd The Well I think you will see a person feeling much stronger in who they are.(to be released early 05) I have always kept a strong light of hope burning and have felt the ministry to pass it on. Life is always good!

Excellent message in the songs; great vocals
author: Nancy HaganThe messages in the songs are very thought-provoking. Her vocal talent is excellent. Every song was very well done. I think she is "top 10" talent.
