Album Notes

Justin Patrick is a Canadian singer-songwriter who hates music. He dislikes today's music; rarely listens to whole albums and is in constant search for the perfect tune that never comes ...until now. Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada Justin grew up listening to The Beatles, Cat Stevens, and (sadly) Kenny G. With 'Elton John' dreams in her head his mother armed him with a piano at an early age. A weapon too heavy and not of his choice, his father hence endowed him with the almighty classical guitar and with it came years and years of musical tears, trial and error.

In 2005, Justin released his debut album, PREFACE with phenomenal failure. Sad, beaten, and with nowhere to go he packed his bags and decided to become a Kpop star in Korea. Thankfully he was rejected. Cleansed from the dark side and void of bubblegum dreams he thus returned to the righteous true path.

In 2010, Justin's search for the perfect tune(s) ends. After years and years of blood, sweat and Kenny G, Mr. Patrick will unleash 2 epic EPs (mini albums) simultaneously. The first is a re-release of 2005's PREFACE; a mighty comeback packed with bonus songs and sweet sparkle.

Songs include:

1. Optimistic ...a heart thumpin' dance-crazy rollercoaster ride of joy and ecstasy

2. Let It Go ...an introspective honest song about inner weakness

3. Please Don't Let Me Down ...a funky love drama where Maroon 5 meets The Smiths

4. She's Good 2 Me ...a Norah Jones-esque saunter down a love boat of jazz and bliss

5. The Undiscovered World ...the unknown future ala Stairway to Heaven

The second is his follow up album IN TIME commemorating a one year odyssey into Seoul's indie music scene with his original band line-up:

Josh Schusterman aka 'The Boss' (drums)

Michelle Schusterman aka 'Ironwoman' (steel drums)

Seth Baker aka 'Mr. S' (bass)

Songs include:

1. Hollywood Suicide ...an insight into the mind of a fallen star
2. Birthday ...a bittersweet string ballad celebration to you
3. Reminisce ...the wonder years ala Jason Mraz with Sublime beats
4. Time ...a powerful rock song where Nirvana meets Elliott Smith
5. Run ...a modern take on a day in the life ...punk style!

Justin insists that your search for good music is over: "These in my mind are songs that will save your life. They are colorful songs, meaningful songs determined to awaken you, shake you, and add a 'high five' to your day. I can't express how much I love and believe in them through words. Ya just gotta have a listen."

Justin plans to come back to Canada within 2010 to kick off a promotional North American tour as he is tired of flipping kimchi burgers.

End.

REVIEWS

Familiar but refreshing at the same time

You can feel that you are the one the song was written for. you're the story's main character wich shares those doubts, dreams, hopes, wishes... It's incredible how the singer can make you feel warm and close to him with just a song, a melody, when he is far away from you. And you just can't stop smiling. His music is full of different feelings. It's like something familiar but refreshing at the same time. I take my time before posting this review, I listened the songs over and over again , more than a month passed and I didn't get tired of hearing them. Trust me, you won't regret it.
