Album Notes

Edgy, observant and brutally frank, Jaime Paxton's songs are the sounds of a real single girl in the city. From dead-beat ex-boyfriends to transvestite masseuses, from pondering a perfect world to crooning an unconventional love song, her music lends insight into what girls really think... really feel... really want. Celebrated for her tracks featured on MTV's reality-drama hit, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and A&E’s new skating sensation, Rollergirls, Jaime Paxton brings her untamed brand of titillating post-feminist chick rock to the masses... unleashing her music with a wicked sense of humor. Her newly-released album, Highlights & Lowlifes, features many tasty tracks from Laguna Beach and Rollergirls and is available online at many locations. You can also find the album at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles. Originally from Irving, Texas, Jaime Paxton relocated to sunny, sinful Los Angeles in the summer of 2002. She can be found performing in and around Hollywood with her righteous band… with plans to tour in the near future. Her turn-ons include long walks on the beach, candle-lit dinners and unsuspecting men.

Bold new voice.

Fresh, funky, and brash. A progressive new artist with wit and charm. If you thought a southern girl couldn't say exactly what she's thinking, you were wrong. Jaime's sweet voice, powerful sound and vulnerable lyrics will surprise and seduce you. She's just the rock chick next door.

Words can't describe talent like this!

This CD is amazing. I think the song 5 Years is the best one, but its a hard decision because they are all simply astounding. Unlike most artists of today, Jaime Paxton sings about real life, the every day things that we all have seen/been through. She's not afraid to say what needs to be said to get the point across. She crosses the lines, in a remarkable way. To not hear this album would be a terrible shame. This girl is going places. Dont miss it.

Jaime Paxton's HIGHLIGHTS & LOWLIFES is all highlights!

For fans of Jaime Paxton, this CD has been a long-time coming yet well worth the wait. Ms. Paxton brings respectability to the name pop-rock. However, her subject matter is anything but the status quo of the genre. Jaime's music certainly isn't tame, tackling issues from lost love to transexual prostitutes and everything in between. My favorite track, and definately one of the best of Paxton's career, is the rockabilly hit "Fast Girls." Why isn't this song all over MTV and the radio? Also, don't miss the secret track at the end of the album... it will tickle your fancy for sure.
