Shelvin "Barber Shop Black" and co-ceo Big-Low have teamed up to form a label that represents the future of down south hip-hop, Dead Game Records."We are just trying to show the people that there are still producers and artist who choose to keep their roots," says Barber Shop."Instead of using the streets to break into a bigger market, we simply believe that the streets are the only market for us".
Signing artist such as J-Real is Dead Game's first step in reestablishing the grit of southern hip-hop. By keeping the music real and signing lyricist who speak only the truth, Dead Game will bring back the loyalty and respect they feel our streets deserve.
