Album Notes

This music is about finding out. Exploring the inner territory, going down deep into the dreamtime and bringing back songs.
The same way a painter might improvise a series sketches and then continue to refine them until
reaching some sort of resolution I have used a number of different instruments including Zendrum, Chapman Stick, acoustic and electric guitar, wind controller, synthesizer, electronic drums and percussion to chart this course. And I made the paintings and drawings as well. It has been nothing less than a small odyssey to emerge here.
But not an odyssey of outward experiences. Rather the opposite has produced these works. Instead
of smokey bars and music gigs as my rite of passage. (All things I tried to do but never worked out.) It was the alone
trajectory. The paper, brushes, colors of paint , sound and yoga, meditation and mountains that were the north stars,
and guiding wands to these magical domains. There are no regrets and no turning back. I don't think this music
is quite like anything else. I had a revelation early on about creative pursuits; If you follow your creative spirit
it will lead you through the personal intimate territory of your self. If you follow long enough, far enough, the
personal falls away. It's not you anymore. But something more pure.
