A professional staff songwriter in Nashville for the past ten years, Robinson has written and performed his work from coast to coast, experimenting in a wide variety of musical styles and forms. His latest CD is an autobiographical account of alcohol and drug addiction, recovery, hope, faith, and love.
Jim's songs have been recorded by many artists including Restless Heart (Top Ten single Mending Fences), John Michael Montgomery (Ain't Got Nothin' On Us), Larry Stewart, Matthews Wright and King, McBride and the Ride, Neal McCoy, B.J. Thomas, Asleep At The Wheel, Ricochet, and Chalee Tennison. His solo-penned Two Stars Fell was both a #1 and Song of the Year for Australian star Gina Jeffreys. Jim has been blessed with a string of Contemporary Christian hits, including the #1 songs Be, Come And Fill This Place, and Because of Him, recorded by Al Denson. All of the songs on Denson's new album, From This Day On, were co-written by Robinson. Most recently, Healer Of My Heart has been released by The Martins. All told, Jim's songs have been recorded on projects easily surpassing sales of ten million units
Worldwide.
Robinson also works as a professional counselor in the field of drug and alcohol addiction treatment, and travels to churches, treatment centers, schools, and correctional facilities to lecture, teach and perform.
