From Jalen the kid to J-ROC the rapper he transforms like toys once he picks up the mic. Reminiscent of Bow Wow and Romeo without the "lil", J-ROC's growing sound melts together Jay Z, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and Kanye West but at his own pace. Just 8 years old when this cd was recorded, this nephew of the legendary motown great Smokey Robinson says "rapping comes natural" for him.
The thought behind this CD is that there will always be kids who are not only inspired to become rappers, but that enjoy rap music at a young age. J-ROC's skillful rap deliveries at this age will be enjoyed for many years to come.
J-ROC has performed at various festivals, parties, church events, clubs and has opened for maintstream artist such as Young Jeezy, T.I., T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Young Dro, Dem Franchise Boys, Ray-J and Trey Songz to name a few. A memorable moment was when J-ROC performed at BB Kings Blues Club located on the Universal City Walk at Universal Studios in California.
