Album Notes

Eleven remarkable tracks from Jamie Sams (internationally acclaimed author and musician) and John York (whose long list of credits include work with the legendary Byrds). A minimal, beautifully produced and focussed celebration of the growing interest in Native American culture and values. Timely, healing, medicine music which features chant, drums, flute, clapper-stick, rattles and shells. The album begins with an Invocation which says in part: "We ask that all pain, greed, anger, and jealousy, Be healed within our planetary family, So that Peace on Earth is no longer a dream But a living reality. Da Nahoe." We can find no better prayer for anxious, troubled times. Lyrics on the album are sung in English, Seneca, Tlingit (Alaska Natives), Navajo, Lakota, and several other Native tongues.
