Album Notes

John and Sharon first met at a traditional music session in the Coylet Inn, Loch Eck, Argyll, Scotland. At that time, Sharon lived in a sixteenth century ferryman’s cottage in Ardentinny on the banks of Loch Long. Ferry Cottage, as it is known, became the site of many musical gatherings (ceilidhs) and inspired the composition of the final tune on the recording. These were wonderful times! John and Sharon are now part of the band Fynesound. Fynesound’s album Almost Home can also be found on this website. See also A Bird in the Wood, the solo album by Fynesound's singer, by Linda Rice-Johnston.
