Dylan-lite
author: Jerry JA thoughtful musical compilation with some darkness not just along the edges, but throughout. I could not escape the Minnesota-Bob Dylan connection both in artistic tone and voice. The best of the songs left me wanting more -- the story untold, or too short, or missing the special verse that would make this artist great.
Awesome! Would definately recommend!

The lyrics to 57 Chevy, leave me with a wry smile on my face and I'm certain the entire CD will do the same for you. Jerree is a rare lyricist and deserves much kudos for the same.

author: Kristen M.I heard Jerree Small play Figaro on A Prarie Home Companion and thought I'd give the whole cd a try - I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys folk music and great lyrics. I've had this disc in my car cd player for two weeks now and haven't tired of it yet. In fact it is one of those great cd's that grow on you even more over time. :-)

Goose-bumps raising lyrics and a delivery to match which reminds me of a female Bob Dylan (That is a complement, as far as I am concerned). Not just another acoustic lyricist but a definitely individual and valuable voice, well emphasised but not diminished by the backing musicians around her.

I love Small's idiosyncratic enunciation, simple melodies, simple yet complex lyrics, and spare but effective acoustic accompaniment. I'm a new fan! Less IS more. Acoustic guitar rules!

Intimate Folk Rock

Jerree Small is a performer to watch. Better yet, Jerree Small is a performer to listen to.
Two out of Two ain't bad
author: EwenAnother gem from Jerree. This time with a more accoustic band sound. However anyone who thinks that this is not as good as her first should get their ears cleaned. Moving vignettes of life and wonderful characters. Particularly good production which alllows the songs and her voice to come to the fore. Notice that it was recorded at Signature Sounds studios, does this mean she will get signed by their label, if not why not? Cannot recommend highly enough.
Impossibly poignant little portraits and still-lifes; damn near perfect.

The production is top notch, the songs are as if gathered from some divine well, and Ms. Small's voice is absolute heaven in its sincerity. A likely contender for the best album of 2004 for anyone who tries it out, in this guy's humble opinion, Mobius is damn near perfect.
