Out of the ashes of FortyDaysRain and Walston - Johnny Space Command is the post-punk, basement, indie rock band incarnation brainchild of singer/songwriter Pat Aldrich. Based out of Worcester, Massachusetts, JSC unleashed a firestorm of punk anthems, dashed with metal influence in a Weezer-esque world that could reach from early 90's underground to late 60's freedom rock without skipping a singalong chorus or a crunching mosh riff. Heavily influenced by The Dandy Warhols, The Foo Fighters, Hot Water Music, The Murder City Devils, Weezer, Radiohead, Moods for Moderns, and an ongoing list of who's who, JSC merged many different styles in a mastery of pure Rock considered by many to be true Rock and Roll Kung Fu. A throwback to the early days of underground music, JSC is all about DIY - starting with their many demos and basement recordings compiled and found on this Ios Productions Release, named after their original anthem "Flea in a Jar" - which could explain the band's outlook on societal issues and revelations about the nature of reality and individual mind set. Johnny Space Command - "Flea in a Jar" stars: Pat Aldrich(FortyDaysRain, Walston, Uplift)/Vocals-Guitar, Chris Hill(Uplift, Velocity Engine, Fragment)/Bass - Backing Vocals, Al Bigelow (Sellershot, FortyDaysRain, Reach The Sky, Walston, Fragment)/Drums-Backing Vocals, Mark Wood (Fragment)/Guitar.
