This is a mixture of R&B hooks with smooth crative lyrics. Many different styles of music were used in making this album. On one track we have steppers music, on another, blues guitar, trumpet riffs, and finally, rock guitar riffs. This album could be classified as a Neo-soul/Rap album.
J Stills is a native of Racine Wisconsin, father, college senior, business owner, producer, songwriter, recording artist, and IS professional.
Finally, this album has something on it for everyone.

I agree with everyone else, this CD is very diverse, and I have to admit I like everything on it... never have to skip through songs, because everything on it is great. Like the beats, like the vocals like it all. Gotta go get it if you haven't already

Doesn't leave the CD player

Loved it right away, a little of everything. It's not one of those disks where all the songs sound the same. It never gets old. A little bit of funk, a little bit of hardcore, and plenty of old school, definately a versatile mix for everyone.
Everything My Eyes can see thumps, VIP floors, Sweets gets the harmony on, and Something Better lightens up - itz all good! Light Brown Woman is da shiznitz, a low-ridin cruisin tune that reminds me of Paperboy's Ditty or a smoother cut of Gorillaz.
Buy it now so when he's holding his Best New Artist Grammy you can say I had that a long time ago.
