Album Notes

JT NERO is one of the personas of Chicagoan JT Lindsay, the frontman of internationally beloved soul marauders JT and the Clouds.

JT NERO is a glassy falsettoed singer who sings, mostly in a glassy falsetto, about love, madness, love staving off madness, love being swallowed by madness, madness masquerading as love and madness as a viable, more environmentally responsible alternative to love.

The songs on JT NERO’S new EP, demons/demons, would have been hard for JT Lindsay to sing. Hence, the birth of JT Nero, who feels his own pain, as well as your pain, acutely, acutely, acutely, and grows them into small flowers, like lilacs and irises, and stuffs them in your ears, mouth and nose. It is the least he can do.

JT NERO has been compared to Neil Young, Curtis Mayfield and Beck. He has armored his ego against the shitstorm of the world way too much to be humbled by these comparisons. He depends entirely on those reviews. He loves those guys.

JT NERO also loves the bands Po’ Girl and The Be Good Tanyas, because they each covered one of his songs on their latest records.

Smooth as always, and quite as good as Delilah and The City's Hot. JT's singing got even better, just like Sam Cooke, but hey, why so few songs?

One of the best albums I've heard in the past few months. Soft, melodic, but unexpectedly interesting. Perfect music to sleep or eat dinner to. Particuarly like: Who Shot Same Cooke?; Diamond Cutter; Everything you Hoped for is Coming True
