Album Notes

Anyone who is into jazz and lives in the Delaware Valley, is more than familiar with the ability of Juanita Holiday. Her voice has been heard in all of Philadelphia's jazz spots and musicians seek her talents. They know she's an asset to anyone's show. She simply is one of the best in the Tri-State area.

Her musical repertoire includes jazz standards, blues and ballads which she explores from beginning to end. Her first CD "To Joe With Love" - dedicated to her late husband - is heart wrenching, soul stirring and an inspirational testimony to love, courage and dedication. Her melodious sound is a combination of jazz divas Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington and Ella Fitzgerald.

Excellent CD!

After hearing this CD I would like to buy more of Juanita Holiday's recordings. She has a wonderfully sweet yet powerful voice. Listen to the touching When October Goes and contrast it with Your Husband is Cheating on us. I got goosebumps listening to What a Difference a Day makes and I couldn't stop replaying Sweet Pumpkin. Big legs was a disappointment, though, was it really necessary to get Ernie Hopkins to sing? Overall GREAT album!
