Album Notes

Since early 2001, Jubala -- under a number of different monikers -- has been putting its own unique spin on modern rock. Drawing elements from such styles as metal, jazz-fusion, classical, progressive, and even reggae and hip-hop, Jubala is a genre-defying sound-engine that is constantly evolving.

Jubala originated in freshman year of high school when Chris (lead guitar) approached Corey (rhythm guitar), Zack (bass), and David (drums) after a jazz band rehearsal with a simple riff. After a few months, a simple riff spawned four original songs and with a few covers as support, Jubala (then known as Redhanded) played its first show.

A few dozen songs, three singers, and four years later, Jubala has now taken up residence at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. With their new singer Sam and with an arsenal of songs fueled by both melodic vocals and intricate instrumentals, the California quintet is bent on making a mark on the LA music scene.
