Album Notes

"To say that Jubilate is a group of talented people that embodies a faithful, loving and welcoming spirit would be a huge understatement. Their music radiates this so strongly that experiencing them live is an absolute must." -Kip Kuepper, recording engineer, Coupe Studios, Boulder, CO

Jubilate Sacred Singers are choral musicians dedicated to sharing joy through song. Our passion for music is enhanced by our spiritual commitment, which moves us to reach out to others. We are based in Boulder, Colorado, where we serve our community and beyond with a range of musical styles and offerings. Jubilate performs weekly for church services, benefit concerts, celebrations, community gatherings and other occasions. These performances are accented by larger events that have included concert tours in the U.S. and Canada, major benefit concerts for Boulder organizations such as the Boulder Chautauqua Organization, The Center of the American West, and The American Music Research Center, and sponsorship of the September 11, 2002, memorial performance of the Mozart Requiem, which included a 600-voice community choir.

"Jubilate brought to our congregation a profound sense of community connection and Christian tradition all on the wings of a musical repertoire that was sensitively selected and beautifully performed." -Paul Hoffman, pastor, Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, Seattle, WA

David Harris, artistic director, has been conducting ensembles since 1995 in settings both sacred and secular. He has worked with a diverse array of churches, as well as in academic and other settings. David has also pursued graduate studies in conducting, culminating in a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Colorado.

"David waves his hands and glorious music happens. A spiritual current flows among us and spills out into the audience." Karen Bell, soprano, Jubilate
