Album Notes

"If there's anything I could say negative about Jude's triumphant return with 2004's Sarah, it's that it just wasn't enough at about 30 minutes to sate those of us who were thrilled to see him finally return to the kind music he had been crafting before he got put through the major label grinder. Well thankfully, Jude is back again with an album that stretches to almost an hour, recorded entirely independently with friends. Here he's found his feet, able to record music as commercial as ever but still as honest and penetrating as his early work. You've hardly ever heard a song so intimate and personal as when Jude starts out "End of My Rainbow" singing "I wrote this song to keep from killing myself." Try to find something that starkly honest on any other pop record this catchy." - Cut The Chord

"Over an exemplary and lively career that has spanned nearly 10 years, Jude has come to specialize in deeply moving songs of bitter love.
With his uniquely textured voice and angelic falsetto, an innate sense for irresistible melodies, and bitingly melancholy lyrics, Jude has emerged as one of today’s best American songwriters."

"Smooth, witty, gracious, and terribly charming...These adjectives apply to both Jude himself and his last album. After some difficult times and a change of label before the previous album "Sarah", Jude is back with a new opus, lighter than anything he's written before and always as enjoyable.
Compared to "No one is really beautiful" his absolute masterpiece, "Redemption" is a notch lower but still, after such "brillantissimes" beginnings it's hard to do better. The song writting is always of exquisite quality, the lyrics are somewhat more superficial than in previous works but reveal like treasures great lines and slightly bitter insights on life, love ...
Jude's voice is as usual velvety smooth and stirs up secret pains and pleasures, while he effortlessly he reaches high stops, he touches the listener deep. The frivolous romantic tone of many of the songs make it the perfect "chick album" (take note you guys it might help for B-day) but both sexes should be pleased by these catchy (yet sophisticated) tunes and smart "double entendre", making women dream and men smile at the description of their bad habits."

This album has only gotten better with time. The first time I listened to it...good, the second better..etc. The lyrics, tones, and Jude are just like a spoon through all the things in my head. This music seems to have so much meaning, but at the same time it\'s just great music regardless of if it strikes a heart sting in your belly.

Reminds me of being back in the 70's. Those were the best years of my life! This C.D. brings me back to there! Thank you Jude!
