Powerhouse vocalist Judea Eden comes at you with raw sincerity and a voice that gets under your skin and into your heart. A veteran of many a stage large and small, her style will remind you a little of Jeanette Napolitano, Mellissa Etheridge, Etta James, Sheryl Crow, Linda Perry and Winona Judd. With roots in country, a love of jazz, a voice for rock and roll and a history of soul music, she combines it all to form her own unique blend of sounds. This album has many local up and coming artists featured including Jeri Jones and Pam Delgado of Blame Sally, Margrit Eichler of True Margrit, Terry Carleton, Carrie Baum, Amy Meyers, Emil Besson, Jonathan Wenk, Scott Magness, Sally Magness, Jon Cretney, Maria Stanford, Aaron Brinkerhoff, Paul Olguin, Dean Mermell, Gary Hobish, Andrew Bacon and more...This album is ordered in a way that takes you on a magical journey of love and heartache. One track has explicit language (I Need A Witness) so bare that in mind. It's a funky hip/hoppy song about yet another messed up relationship...Don't be surprised if you end up crying after listening to "Stop The Ache". It's a real tear-jerker. If you are looking for a theme song to use for anything to do with Voting or Registering to Vote, check out "Rock This Vote". I truly hope you enjoy the journey... ~Judea

Sonic heaven!

Once in a blue moon a CD comes to my attention that is so fabulous in every way, from superb songwriting and lush instrumental arrangements, to recording to engineering to mixing to post-production, that I'm just compelled tell the world about it. If Suzanne Vega's Beauty and Crime (which won the GRAMMY award in 2007 for Best Engineered Album, non-classical) is my standard of excellence at 10, Finding the Beauty would score a 9.5 in my book. This collection is by far the best music I have heard this year!
