Going from mere concept into reality is always a daunting task, and can be especially brutal at the "Crossroads of America", where conservatism and status quo make up a so called "life". So, it should be no surprise that within these confines comes a singular voice of dissention, screaming out with aggression. The time for Judgement has come. The time for Judgement is now. Upon finalizing their lineup in late 2005 and a debut show alongside heavy metal titans Anthrax, Judgement entered the studio to record their debut self titled EP in March of 2006. Looking to establish their own identity and sound, as well as make sure their brand of metal is realized, Nate Wright (guitar) and the band decided to produce, engineer, mix and master the album themselves. The result speaks for itself. Judgement's self titled EP opens with the pained strings and subdued ambience only to send you into the pummeling maelstrom. You can catch your breath just long enough during "Adrift" only to fall back into the depths of the torrent.
Taking inspiration from all forms of metal, Judgement seeks to create a singular sound reminiscent of the metal that inspired, and continues to inspire each member of the band. Judgement draws comparisons from a variety of metal - from early pioneers Black Sabbath, to classic bands like Metallica, Exodus and Kreator, to modern bands such as Arch Enemy and Lamb of God. Judgement has shared the stage with notable metal acts such as Anthrax, God Forbid, Chimaira, Arch Enemy, Hate Eternal and more.
