Judy Piazza is a performer, workshop facilitator, recording artist and educator known throughout the country for her work with rhythm and sound. She has performed with Glen Velez, Ubaka Hill, Russill Paul and other noted artists. Her passion is fueled through extensive travels and study in and out of the country (Brazil, India, Peru, Central America, Europe) to delve into the nature and use of sound and rhythm among first peoples, the power of pulse through hand drums and percussion, as well as the sonic possibilities and healing aspects of voice, rhythm, and tone.
